About The Farm:

Bad Dog Farms has locations in the Eastern Sierra mountains of California on Nuumu (Northern Paiute) land as well as the Southeast region of Louisiana on ChahtaYakni (Choctaw) land. We acknowledge the genocide and forced removal of the indigenous people on these lands.

BDF is a small scale farming operation. We are growing unique flowers, vegetables and herbs at 7,250ft elevation in California with the intention of bringing drought tolerant specialized seed to others in this extreme region. We are on year 3 of seed production and feel confident selling seed this coming 2023 season! BDF hopes to create a special gathering space in the Southeast Louisiana location. Art, food, music and collaboration are priorities at BDF to make systemic change in the current world.

BDF focuses on soil health by no till methods, pesticide free growing, seasonality, mulch, and maintaining native habitat for pollinators. We are constantly in observation and listening to the environment around us.

We are focused on our intentions. Being in nature. Being kind. Tending to the soil. Tending to the community. Creating space. Creating art. Growing food. Growing knowledge. Alignment and Balance.
